Kichi Beads are now known as the Chesterfield Bead Shop.
Kichi is a new business in the Specialty Shopping Area of Chesterfield. It is owned by Olivia & Colin who have lived and worked in Chesterfield for many years. They share their home with three cats, Molly, Oscar and McKenzie.
Kichi is a Japanese word that means ‘Good Fortune’ and after trying to find a unique name for the business Olivia & Colin decided to choose a name that they liked that may hopefully bring good fortune to all who visit the store.
We offer a good range of beads and jewellery making supplies. Glass beads in almost every colour you can imagine are sold alongside beads of many different materials. Glass, wood, metal, cord, sequins and even felt and paper is used for making beads.
The range also includes speciality beads from Artisans in the UK. Individual, artistic hand made beads can make that special item one of a kind. We also stock jewellery making supplies, tools, wire & books.
We offer beading & jewellery making lessons and will have special sessions with guest instructors.
Beads are not just for jewellery making, although that can be the first thought. If you are interested in crafting there are many projects in which beads can be used. Some that we have thought of or indeed undertaken ourselves include: -
Handbags, Embroidery, Dressmaking, Lace-making, Mobile Phone Charms , Mobiles, Beaded Curtains, Shoes, Accessories, Bridal, Bookmarks, Soft Furnishings, Handbag charms & Jewellery.
