Card and Cakecraft was established as a second business in 1986 at 5 Theatre Yard.

In September 2000 it was transferred to it's present location in Theatre Yard Arcade and combined with the Party Shop.

As the name implies the 'Cakecraft' section of the business caters for all standards of decorating cakes from beginners through to the professional cake makers for all occasions. Ready made fruit cakes are also available. Decorations can be silk or sugar flowers, ribbons, models, etc. Cake tops made to customer requirements or select from various types on display. Cake tins and stands available for hire.

The 'Card' section was initially for sale of greeting cards (beginning as Jill's Cards in the Market Hall). Nowadays this side has been virtually replaced with selections of invites, wedding stationary, tokens and bomboneries.
